Expanding Horizons: The Rozgar Mela, a nationwide job fair, is making waves across the country, with events taking place in 37 locations. This initiative extends its influence not only within central government departments but also in states and Union Territories that ardently support the cause of employment generation.

A Diverse Workforce: The Chosen Recruits from various corners of the country have embraced this opportunity, joining a multitude of departments. These departments include railways, posts, home affairs, revenue, higher education, school education and literacy, health, and family welfare, among others. The integration of diverse sectors signifies a step towards the fulfillment of the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritize employment generation, providing young individuals with meaningful opportunities for empowerment and participation in the nation’s development.

A Vision Unveiled: Prime Minister Modi initiated the ‘Rozgar Mela’ campaign on October 22 of the previous year, setting the stage for an ambitious goal—to provide 10 lakh government jobs. This visionary endeavour aligns with the nation’s collective mission to combat unemployment and create a prosperous future for all.

A Steadfast Effort:  Union Minister BL Verma, a key figure in the government’s commitment to job creation, reported that the government has successfully distributed job letters to 5.5 lakh youth since the previous October. In a recent development, Verma handed over appointment letters to 250 candidates, a fraction of the 1,000 individuals selected for various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP. This bold step underscores the government’s determination to address the issue of unemployment in the country.

Ministry of Home Affairs’ Crucial Role The ‘Rozgar Mela’ initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), is playing a pivotal role in recruiting personnel across various CAPFs, including CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, and Narcotics Control Bureau, as well as the Delhi Police. The MHA’s continued efforts have led to the filling of approximately one lakh posts through Mission Recruitment, with an impressive 87,000 vacant posts now occupied in CAPFs, reported Verma.

The ‘Rozgar Mela’ initiative and the collaboration between the government and key stakeholders have ushered in a new era of employment and economic growth in India.
