Shark Tank India is a business reality television series that is broadcasted on Sony Entertainment Television. Serving as an Indian adaptation of the renowned American show Shark Tank, it showcases entrepreneurs presenting their business proposals to a panel of investors, known as sharks. These sharks then evaluate the ventures and determine whether or not to invest in them. The inaugural season of Shark Tank India premiered on December 20, 2021, and concluded on February 4, 2022. Subsequently, the second season aired from January 2 to March 10 of this year. In June of the current year, registration for the third season was opened. Aspiring entrepreneurs were required to complete an online application on the Sony Liv App, providing a comprehensive description of their business idea, highlighting its distinctiveness and potential. Eligibility criteria mandated that applicants must be Indian citizens and at least 18 years of age. The application process involved several subsequent stages, including the submission of a video pitch, ultimately leading to qualification for a series of rounds before being selected for the show. It is important to note that investment offers would solely be based on the final pitch presented by the entrepreneurs.
