INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE : In the Context of India-US Relations, S Jaishankar Draws a Chandrayaan Comparison

Mr Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington lately, amid the politic row with Canada.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said moment it’s delicate to put a limit on the India-US relationship, and that the two countries now see each other as” desirable, optimal, and comfortable mates.”
Addressing an Indian community event in Washington DC, Mr Jaishankar said,” I’m frequently asked, where do you suppose this relationship( India-US) isgoing.now it’s hard for me moment, really, to put a limit on it, to define it, to indeed state prospects, because in every way this relationship has exceeded prospects, which is why moment we do not indeed try to define it. We actually keep raising the bar.”
Mr Jaishankar held meetings with Secretary of State Antony Blinken, elderly members of the US Administration, US business leaders, and suppose tank experts this week. The External Affairs Minister said that India and the United States have a” veritably compelling need” to work together and that it’s in Washington’s interest to have mates who suppose and speak well of America.
” We keep changing new disciplines, the further we do with each other, the further we find we’re suitable to do, explore together, and achieve together,” he said.
Mr Jaishankar stressed that just like ISRO’s major Chandrayaan lunar charge, India-US bilateral ties will reach new heights and go further.
” The donation, the support and the understanding that we got from the United States to make a successful G20, I suppose that’s commodity I would clearly like to honor in public in Washington DC,” Mr Jaishankar told several hundred Indian-Americans gathered at the India House to celebrate the’ Celebrating Colors of Friendship’ event organized by the Embassy of India in the US.
” So, it may have been our success in a nonfictional way, but I suppose it was the G20( nations) success. To me, it was also a success of the India- USpartnership.please keep giving this cooperation the support it needs, the support it deserves and the support it expects. And I can promise you that this relationship, like the Chandrayaan, will go to the moon, perhaps indeed beyond,” he added.

” In this changing world, I would say, India and the United States have moved to a position where we really see each other as veritably desirable, optimal mates, comfortable mates, with whom it’s a natural instinct moment. So, the chemistry and the comfort moment of the relationship gives me an enormous stopgap about where the prospects are,” he added.
Mr Jaishankar met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington lately, amid the political row with Canada over the payoff of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil in June this time.

The foreign minister rejected Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s allegation that Indian government agents were involved in Nijjar’s payoff, saying it was” inconsistent with India’s policy.”
Mr Blinken expressed deep concern over Mr Trudeau’s allegations, saying that the US is prompting the Indian government to cooperate with the disquisition to bring the perpetrators to justice.
